Quality Assurance Intern

Company Description

Tech X Company is a leading global software company based in San Jose. For the past 25 years the company has managed data automation applications for its clients. The intern will be mentored and supervised by an experienced professional who leads the data automation team

Job Description

The intern will have the opportunity to:
  • Learn how to and assist in determining software quality during the development cycle
  • Work closely with QA engineers and developers for problem solving and resolution
  • Create automated scripts using test automation tools

Summer internships are 10-12 weeks, full-time. Interns are encouraged to participate in career development workshops and attend off site meetings during their internships

At the end of the summer, interns will submit a report detailing what they have learned and the results of their projects


Qualifications
  • Working towards BS in Software Engineering, Computer Science
  • Proficiency in Perl and VBScript
  • Experience in Windows environments a must
  • Experience with Unix a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing needs and learn new systems/technologies
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated and has ability to work independently and as part of a team
