The Career Center offers ready-to-use career preparation resources developed by Career Center professionals and grounded in career development and design theories. Faculty can easily integrate these resources into Canvas courses as lessons or assignments to help students build practical career skills and incorporate career readiness into their curriculum. 

Faculty can request the Launch Your Career Canvas Module or ready-to-use Hiration assignments and grading rubrics. Both Hiration assignments include learning outcomes, career-readiness skills, step-by-step instructions, and a grading rubric that faculty can use or adapt for their course.

Launch Your Career Canvas Module

The Launch Your Career module helps students develop skills and strategies for navigating the job and internship search process. Faculty can import the module in its entirety or select individual lessons that align with their course needs.

Hiration Assignments & Grading Rubric

Resume

The Hiration Resume Assignment gives students hands-on practice creating or improving a resume using Hiration. Students upload an existing resume or create a new one, review AI-generated feedback, and make revisions to strengthen their resume.

The assignment helps students practice evaluating and communicating their skills and experiences while using career technology to support their professional development.

Interview

The Hiration Interview Assignment gives students an opportunity to practice and strengthen their interview skills using Hiration. Students complete an elevator pitch and mock interview, review AI-generated feedback, and use the feedback to improve their responses and delivery.

The assignment helps students develop professional communication, critical thinking, and interview preparation skills while gaining experience using career technology.

How to Request Resources

Faculty may request one or more resources based on their course needs. To get access to the resources:

• Submit the Google form linked below.
• The Career Center will review your request.
• A Career Center team member will provide access and any necessary implementation information.
• Import the module or selected lessons into your Canvas course, if requested.
