Rapid Employment Program
This program supports employers in need of hiring students immediately while providing an option for students that find themselves in an economic situation where they need a job fast. To address this, the SJSU Career Center offers a free, opt-in program offering specialized marketing options for employers with paid, entry-level jobs.
Program Benefits

- Employment opportunities are advertised to thousands of students and distributed to on-campus departments via specialized marketing channels such as e-notes, digital promotions, and tabling
- Save time with one-time, ongoing promotion of year-round opportunities
- Coordinate with an Employer Engagement Specialist on promoting your changing employment needs
Job Requirements
- Qualifying job opportunities must be paid, entry-level roles (zero to minimal prior work experience required).
- Jobs must be posted to SJSU Handshake.
- All employment opportunities must have an expedited application/interview process (no more than 30 days between application and hire).
- All submitted job opportunities are subject to review by the Career Center, and must follow Employer Services & Expectations.
Program Options
Employers may sign up for the Rapid Employment Program and request promotion of job opportunities through either of these options:
Single Job Posting
Create a new job posting in Handshake, representative of the hiring opportunities available to students seeking immediate employment. This posting can be generic in description, or outline descriptions for multiple jobs or locations at once.
This option can be convenient for employers with similar descriptions for multiple roles, or looking for a one-time effort for continuous, year-long marketing.
Dynamic Job Postings
Provide one or more links to existing job postings in Handshake, and (optionally) follow up with an Employer Engagement Specialist at later dates to provide details on new, updated postings.
This option is best for employers with changing recruiting needs throughout the year, or a diverse range of hiring opportunities best represented by multiple postings.
How to Participate
To submit one or more job postings, please complete our online questionnaire, with basic contact information, your preferred option for participating in this program, and links to your job postings in Handshake. An Employer Engagement Specialist will follow up with you in 2-3 business days.
