Summer Application Development Experience for Students

SJSU Alumni in the Claris FileMaker application developer community welcome San José State University students to take advantage of a three-fold opportunity this summer:

A free summer mentorship program for up to 7 SJSU students

A free FileMaker Pro license for up to 7 SJSU students (through two academic years)

A free full tech conference registration for up to 3 SJSU students for [Full Access] ’26, August 6-10 (five days, four nights, room and all meals included)
Applicants for this opportunity will be considered based on their interest, potential, and level of need. To help you prepare, we encourage exploring some or all of the resources listed below:
Did you download the 45-day trial and give it a try?
Did you show up and introduce yourself at a user group meeting such as DIGFM or view any meetup recordings? The most recommended DIGFM meetup will be June 11, 5PM, because Claris International will briefly introduce the platform and describe what’s new in the latest version. This DIGFM meetup provides an opportunity to meet potential mentors in a Zoom meeting.
Did you visit Claris Academy to introduce yourself to the platform or learn more?
Did you visit a FileMaker forum (like the Claris Community) to ask questions?
Did you visit the FullAccess.us site to see whether you would be interested in attending the conference? This is a unique tech conference opportunity for SJSU students. Not only is the conference local to San Jose, but this year it occurs during the summer break.
Immediately after June 11, mentors will contact students to join a mentorship pod with them and other applicants. Mentors will schedule online or in-person meetings on a regular basis or by appointment. All pod members will be welcome to attend all meetings. On July 9, a committee will select and announce the recipients of the FileMaker Pro licenses and the full conference registrations. The committee will use all observable information about the applicants, including mentor recommendations. Those not selected will still be eligible for educational discounts on the software and conference registration (as openings last). The related mentorship program is scheduled to continue through August 13, but we hope the connections applicants establish at this time can last a lifetime, as they have for the mentors and donors offering this SJSU student opportunity. The form to apply for this opportunity: https://forms.gle/6Urs2iTxr7cJTkTd8
