Career Treks

A Career Trek is a hands-on experience where a group of 15-30 students has the opportunity to visit your company, learn about your organization’s unique culture and values, and discover potential career paths.

Benefits of Hosting a Career Trek

  • Increase brand awareness among SJSU’s +36K students
  • Network with diverse candidates
  • Reinforce and expand your new talent pipeline

Treks are normally between 90 minutes and 4 hours. Employers have full discretion on the length of the Trek.

Treks occur on weekdays during Fall Semester (September – November) and Spring Semester (February – April).

Treks can include a company tour, presentations, Q&A panels, networking opportunities, or any other activities that best showcase your organization’s unique organization and culture.

Career Treks are in-person experiences. The goal is for students to experience what it’s like to work onsite at different companies.

There are no formal program fees to host a Career Trek. Employers may choose to provide lunch and/or other refreshments, but it is not mandatory.
