Forage offers free virtual job simulations created by leading employers, allowing you to explore careers, develop practical skills, and gain confidence before applying for internships or jobs.
Forage’s catalog of job simulations cover a wide array of industries including healthcare, design, social services, sciences, business, engineering, and more! New simulations are added regularly.

*Please note that students may only include completed simulations under “Certifications” on their resumes/CVs and LinkedIn profiles. Students may not include completed simulations under “Experiences” or “Employment History”.
Getting Started
- Navigate to the SJSU Forage webpage.
- Select “Sign Up”.
- Input the following information:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Email (i.e. your SJSU email address)
- Password
- What best describes you currently (i.e. “In University/College”)
- Current University, College or Other Institution (i.e. “San Jose State University”)
- University Student ID
- How did you hear about us?
- Select Register.
- Browse available job simulations and select “Register now” to enroll in a simulation.
- Complete projects at your own pace.
- Download your completion certificate and showcase your accomplishment.
Tips for Success
- List completed simulations under the Certifications section of your resume/CV or LinkedIn profile rather than as work experience.
- Explore multiple industries to discover careers that fit your interests.
- Use completed simulations as examples when discussing your skills during interviews.
