Why Use Focus2?

Whether you’re choosing a major, exploring career options, or considering a career change, Focus2 helps you connect your strengths and interests to meaningful career possibilities. Use Focus2 to:

  • Develop a clearer direction before meeting with a career counselor.
  • Complete self-assessments to better understand your work interests and personality.
  • Explore majors and careers that align with your assessment results.
  • Research occupations, salary information, and employment outlook.
  • Compare career options and save your results for future reference.

Getting Started

Current Students

  1. Log in to Focus2 using your SJSUOne ID and password.
  2. Complete one or more self-assessments:
    • Work Interest Assessment
    • Personality Assessment
    • Leisure Assessment (optional)
  3. Review your recommended majors and occupations.
  4. Save your favorite careers and continue exploring as your interests evolve.
  5. For additional support interpreting your results, schedule an appointment with a career counselor on Spartan Connect.

Alumni

Graduates retain free access to Focus2 for one year after graduation.

Faculty & Staff

Faculty and staff may request a user account through this Google form to review or provide feedback on their students’ self-assessments.
