Anita is an innovative career development leader with 20+ years of experience working in higher education. She leads a dynamic team of career professionals (team of 9 to 17 over her tenure) serving a campus of 35,000 students and overseeing the development of career readiness programs for San Jose State University. She is dedicated to helping students and staff design meaningful lives and careers. She is passionate about developing and growing teams, applying life design and career development practices to career coaching and counseling, and impactful curriculum design.

She is a Senior Career Counselor at the SJSU Career Center where she specializes in working with graduate students, online degree completion students, and alumni. Her previous experience includes director of career services, college instructor, and trainer. She is a Past-President of the California Career Development Association (CCDA), and is now serving as CCDA’s Co-Finance Chair and Co-Chair of the Silicon Valley Chapter.

Christine has over 7 years of experience in career counseling. She is a member of National Career Development Association (NCDA) and Mountain Pacific Association of Colleges and Employers (MPACE). She enjoys helping students explore careers in areas of interest aligned with a life they envision for themselves. Christine is excited about supporting students to discover who they are, what they can do with their major and figuring out how they can use their talents, skills and abilities in areas of interest. Kelly has over 15 years of experience in different areas of career development with the majority of the experience being in higher education settings. Her experience includes centralized Career Centers, Internship programs, and Vocational Rehabilitation, in addition to multiple conference presentations both virtually and in-person.
Her personal mission is to serve as the calm in the storm for students seeking to find their place in the world. She strives daily to help students be career-ready and seeks to answer the questions that students didn’t even know they should ask. She takes joy in watching students learn, grow, and succeed. She was honored as Career Center Employee of the Year in 2019.

Kelly earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Trinity University in San Antonio, TX, and a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Career Counseling from Our Lady of the Lake University. She received a Career Development Facilitator (CDF) designation in 2002 and became a certified Student Affairs Educator (CSAEd) in 2023.
